Hello! My name is Aama. I am a yogi on the path of nutrition, life, love and happiness. This here is my blog. It is designed as a sanctuary for me to be truly authentic in my experience through the twists and turns of life. This blog is a counter part of my nutrition coaching website where I am soon to be offering health coaching services along with yoga, cooking and cuisine. My platform is that when the body is given the chance to heal itself, it will. This program will be multifunctional targeting diet, daily routine, sleep, and exercise in addition to what I refer to as primary foods which are Relationships, Career, Spirituality, and Exercise. Together we will work one on one — in varying capacities, defined by the client — with yoga and cooking aid. When you start this journey to overall health and happiness, it’s nice to have a guide or a helping hand (that’s me!). To make the transition of diet and lifestyle habits easier, I start off every client with easy, accessible recipes. These recipes will be made with the individual in mind and will help to make the transition to a healthier lifestyle be nutritious and delicious. Also, for clients who have busy schedules or for those who feel like they are cooking inept, I will offer personal catering and cooking lessons. Since 2009 Aama has been pursuing yoga as a means to strengthen spiritual, mental, physical, and emotional well-being. She began practicing when she was fourteen years old as she found yoga to be a way to move through this world in an authentic way. In 2014, She studied with Marianne Wells in Costa Rica to receive her 200 hour RYT certification in Hatha yoga. Aama’s classes are designed to intertwine spiritual thought along with artful and conscious movement. It is her belief that yoga supplies a physical canvas we can apply our lives to; finding areas that need adjustment on and off the mat. Currently, Aama is pursuing a degree in Exercise Physiology from Fort Lewis College, as well as a certification as a Health Coach from the Institute of Integrative nutrition. Her passion is to assist people to heal on every level and it is her mission in life to make health and greater body awareness accessible to everyone.
